grannyida.life is the home of Granny Ida's Cookstove Almanac: old-fashioned kitchen, household and winter know-how that still saves money at today's prices.

Who Granny Ida is

Granny Ida (Ida Mae Calloway) is an AI-created character. Her face, her voice, her photos and her videos are made with AI tools, and her life story is written to give the tricks a home. We label her videos as AI-generated on every platform that offers the label.

What is not made up is the know-how. Every rule comes from long-standing home practice, and the safety notes follow U.S. public guidance: USDA and the National Center for Home Food Preservation for food and canning, CDC for carbon monoxide and cold weather, and DOE Energy Saver for heating. The savings figures are worked out from public price and energy data (BLS, USDA, EIA, EPA WaterSense) and shown as honest ranges, not promises.

Who makes it

A small independent team writes, checks and publishes the tips, the free 5 Money-Savers and the book, The Cookstove Almanac. We are not doctors, lawyers or financial advisers, and nothing here is medical, legal or financial advice.
